The standard Bertrand model Bass Viola da Gamba is a seven string bass viol made with figured maple back and sides with spruce top. It has purfled borders on the maple fingerboard and tailpiece.

The deluxe model has figured maple back and sides with spruce top, as well as an ebony fingerboard and tailpiece. It has double purfling on front and back with 3 additional purfled ornaments on the back.

A further refinement is available with a carved head, select maple sides and back, fine spruce top as well as an ebony veneered fingerboard and tailpiece. It has double purfling on the front and back
