Violin after Jacobus Stainer 1679

This Lu-Mi instrument is a violin after Jacobus Stainer circa 1679. The high arching of the Stainer model produces wonderful overtones and is ideal for baroque music.

The Jacobus Stainer model comes in standard and master quality. The master quality violin has decorative inlay on the back and English style decoration on the belly. The fingerboard and tailpiece are ebony over maple in the deluxe model and maple only in the standard model. Carved scroll and pegboxes and/or dragon heads are available as well as antique varnish.
